Subject: Poser 10 Library JPG Files = Shrugging Man... HALP!!1!

Upgraded to Poser 10 a while ago, got everything moved over from Poser 7 just fine... however, older stuff (NOT .RSR files!) is not showing up in the library. I checked the files, they're all .Jpg or .Jpeg... all the "solutions" I have come across deal with the conversion of .RSR to .PNG way back in Poser 8... this is NOT the problem I am having... already dealt with that loooong ago. The problem is that Poser 10 is not recognizing the .Jpeg or .Jpg thumbnails.

I have resourced this all over the Smith Micro, Content Paradise, and RuntimeDNA sites and come up blank for a solution... WTF am I missing here?

It has sum cluezes for usss, preciousss?

I wasn't aware that Poser ever supported JPG as thumbnails in the content library.

Could you say more because as it stands right now I'd say you're tilting at windmills.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Agree with BB. Have never seen any support for jpg, only png, for all the Poser versions thumbnails.

The bigger question: why move anything from Poser 7 when you could simply link it's runtime to Poser 10. The only concern would be the Python Scripts, and yet any older scripts may not work correctly, or at all, because of coding changes. Overwriting old over new will break P10 for sure.

I agree with hborre, just link the old to new.... Overwriting is very bad, and thumbnails should always be .png files or you get shrugging man
