BUT I don't want to buy a version of vue that is "still in beta" (but sold as ready) with the public screaming for fixes for this and that ....

and all I see now at eon is Vue 2015... could someone tell me how well this version works with what I have? Last I heard, it was Vue 11 that was rock steady but now (dumb me!) I can't even find that version to buy... there seems to be nothing BUT 2015?

Now that I have a monster machine, with a solid state "C" drive, and a ton of ram, etc... I'm so ready! :)

ROFL!! I assure you, I'm this machine is working my Poser 2014 a LOT... but I know Vue can do even more for me... grin!

Hi Lyne, I'm in almost the same boat. I decided on buying a new monster machine, just bought Vue 2015 and find out I can't import Poser files into Vue. Vue said it imports pz3 files.... Now I assumed I could maybe use my old Poser 6 (Curious Labs) as it creates pz3 files and assumed that would be ok. So far not the case.

Sooo before I shell out more money for Poser 11 Can anybody tell me if Vue works with Poser 11 ?? Over the years I (we all have) spent so much money on content and I'd hate to throw it all away. Vue and Poser are my bread and butter.

well that's not good news... maybe your vue needs a different "module" ? There are so many versions and so many add ons... :(

I still have 9, too, but I prefer 2014.... I think this site might be better to find out all the information... ?

According to Steve Bell at E-on, they are hoping to field the next version of Vue this spring. As to the support for P-11, this is mostly a matter of shaders, as with the addition of Superfly to Poser, the shaders have changed somewhat, plus there is the Cycles format shader options. I can't say if there are other issues, as I was stupid and upgraded the CG box to Win 10, which has utterly horked things. Vue 2015 works fine in Win 10 so far as I can tell.

One option would be to run the import from an older version of Poser. The latest SDK is from 2013, I believe, so P9 works, as I believe does P10.

I use DAZ Studio and export everything as an OBJ including your wonderful models. You could do the same with Poser. I have used both Vie 11 and 2015 Infinite. Vue has its quirks and always will. For what I do I am satisfied with 2015. My machine is now 3 1/2 years old, but was very advanced when it was made for me. My motherboard supports 64 GIG of memory and I have that. I upped from 32 to 64 about a year ago. I use win 7, 64 bit, also.

I don't know the changes to materials that are necessary for OBJs from Poser to Vue, but if you decide to go that route, I can certainly share with you my settings. I love working in Vue even with its issues and it is my main program. I create figures and objects in DAZ and then put them altogether in Vue as well as work with the atmosphere.n my opinion, you can't beat the lighting and atmosphere abilities that Vue has. If I can answer more questions, let me know.
