Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 1:16 pm)
A) You may have accidently moved the tracking dial and tossed your figure about a hundred virtual feet in the air or about 100 virtual feet below the virtual ground. Move the trackball around and try different camera angles...you may just have them out of your view windows site. B) A strange glitch that occurs from time to time in Poser 4.
Did you remap a figure exported from poser..if so you need to rename all the body parts.. poser on export calls them, for example Chest Hip.....but they should be chest hip...if you look in a cr2 you'll see the correct names listed....you can do this in UVmapper by selecting the part and assigning a new group......Steve
Actually what Poser was doing was adding ":2" to the end of each body part. I took your advice in a round bout way and looked at the standard Poser3 character and compared it with the obj I exported, went and and changed the body part name (merely taking out the :2) in RDS5 and then saved it again. When I reopened in Poser, Voil there was my character. Thanks for the advice guys.

Dumb question here. I've a disappearing figure. I took the obj file and remapped it using UVMapper. Went and edited the CR2 file so that it would pull up the new OBJ file. I go to Poser add the new figure and there's nothing there. I even tried remapping again saving as a different name, adjust the CR2 and still nothing (and yes I deleted the RSR file out of the Geometries folder that went with the new OBJ files. What am I doing wrong?
