EarthCrone ( ) posted Fri, 02 September 2016 at 9:27 AM · edited Thu, 28 November 2024 at 4:23 PM

First off it there is already a thread about this please just point me in the right direction.

As I don't care for Daz Studio is the such a utility for Poser...I'm not asking for a free item...as I have a few outfits I've created and and would like to know if there is something out there?

Thanks in advance!

I just read about something on this yesterday ... I am looking it up for you ... and myself, a good utility to have!

In Poser Pro 2014 you can select the clothing figure and then copy morphs from the figure it's conformed to so no need for another utility. I would assume this is still available in Poser 11.
If you have an older version of Poser then you'll most likely need to use this utility. https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/morphing-clothes/64629/

First find is "Clothes Converter 4" at DAZ. it's $40. It is a stand alone program not a python add-on or script. I also do not know it's reputation. But I'm not sure what you mean about morphs ... just to convert the clothing to work on other figures, correct? This is also NOT what I recall from yesterday. It was in passing and I am still looking.

Agreed that the fitting room is amazing, and may be your best bet with the adding morph from figure feature.

I'm assuming from you question you have made basic clothing that fits but want the clothing to include the figure morphs. From poser 9 onwards poser included wardrobe wizard. If you get the add on for Victoria 4 and/or Michael 4 you can use this to convert clothing from a figure to the same figure, eg v4 to v4 and it can transfer the morphs, plus some additional useful ones. And as stated poser 2014 and poser 11 pro have the transfer morphs function (you don't need to use the fitting room to use this function).

Kalypso's suggest about Dimension3ds Morphing Clothes is great. It's a fantastic utility that can be run without poser running. It's fast, can do batch transfers, or save a set of specific morphs (for a character you like or have created) to inject into clothing (which you save a copy in a folder of your determination). If you were a glutton for self punishment, you could hand edit files with something like notepad++ or other editors but honestly save yourself heartache. Wardrobe Wizard works, but for batch transfers (meaning an outfit with multiple parts, example, pants, shirt, gloves, belt) Morphing Clothes does it.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

Wardrobe Wizard which has been a part of Poser since P8 can transfer morphs from the figure to the clothing. However, need to purchase the add ons for M4 and V4 from PhilC.net. The other Gen 4 figures (except for K4) are morph sets of M4 or V4.

First off Thank you for all your responses!

I do have poser 2014 but not Pro. As for Wardrobe Wizard I may have that in my stock pile of old installers. and I may have Dimensions3d utility as well if not I'll have to take a peek at it. The Fitting Room does that come with the Pro Version? As for the Gen Figures I really don't have much interest in them...Daz's policy about making bigger and better and thus spending more and more money irks me. Not starting an "Us vs Them" thing here. Daz was very kind to me way back in the day. But due to RL happening I just stopped producing and they deleted most of my installs the only one left there is the Diahme Hair ( A number of the installs deserved to be deleted...I was surprised they kept them going for as long as they did -grin-)

Anyhow thank you all so much...as I've said before and will keep saying you are all the BEST!!!

I believe the fitting room is Pro version only. Dimension3d's Morph Clothing is great however the instruction manual isn't too clear. On the first screen, Figure, at the bottom right is a Load button. You find the cr2 (or other types) you want to load. It'll list the morphs and de-formers. Example say you wanted to load the Girl4 body morph, you pick the morphs you want to add. On the Clothing button, you pick the clothing item which will display the item with it's current set of morphs. So say you wanted to add The Girl 4 body type to an outfit you'd mark the morph (or multiple morphs if you want to do more than one at a time). On the Transfer page you pick where you want the output to save to (or you could rename the outfit). If you pick Clothing (at the bottom of the Transfer page) it'll save in the same folder as the original. Be careful to give it a new name (example, say dress.cr2 to dressGirl4.cr2). Press transfer and done! :)
