Subject: non human/cartoon characters

If you use the cartoon characters available at CP, Rendo, or DAZ, do you still have to deal with the clothing etc fitting the characters? Haven't bought any cartoon ones yet.

There is very little clothing for most of the cartoon characters.

As far as I know no one has made any clothing for the toon characters that come with Poser. But they come fully clothed.

For the most part, there is typically only one body shape for the toons, so the clothing has fewer chances to Poke and misbehave.

I find the Toon figures that come with Poser to be nice, but too limited in regards to clothing, poses and props. There are other, more stylized characters available for Genesis and even the M4 / V4 figures that will give you more versatility.
