Subject: Some Poser 11 questions before I upgrade

I've been using Poser 10 for almost 2 years now and have the hang of most functions. I've been thinking of upgrading to some form of Poser 11 in order to get the advantage of my 64 bit system and I have a few questions that I have not been able to answer by reading various forums.

1-When Poser 11 came out some people had issues with Windows 10 but I was unable to find a follow up which indicated these problems are fixed. Are they fixed?

2-I organize my content using external runtimes. Does Poser 11 allow the use of external runtimes? (Seems like a silly question but the idea of organizing everything AGAIN does not enthuse me.)

3-On a similar note are Poser 11 libraries organized the same as Poser 10? (Character, Pose, Props etc.)

4-Poser 11 includes Firefly which I know pretty well. Are all the other things like Poser 10, such as the cloth room and ordinary manipulating of the scene and items in the scene? (I assume they are and I could then learn the new features as I have time/need)

thanks in advance for the help.

  1. I don't have any trouble with Poser 11 on Windows 10. I can't say for other folks

  2. Yes, Poser 11 handles External runtimes just like Poser 10 does

  3. Yes, the same library sections we've had forever are still with us. SM Changed the icon symbols to a more modern Flat Icon style.

  4. Cloth Room Hair Room, Face Room, Setup Room were all retained. Some got some attention and work differently or have more options than before. The Stage is thankfully unchanged.

SuperFly is the default render engine so for legacy content and scenes you may what to choose FireFly. for those renders. Complex materials may not translate to the new render without adjustments.
