New Poser Users Help F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Oct 29 6:40 pm)

Do you want to change the angle of the camera to view the scene within Poser or during the render process? Within the scene if you select another camera you can move that one around to view what the animation will look like from different angles. However if you are rendering a movie then you can only use one camera. If your camera is stationary then the easiest method is to use a constant spline on the camera position and at each change in view place a key frame change the camera until next key frame. If you want the camera to move then what I do is place a key frame (use frame 30 for example) at frame 30. Then do a copy of that frame (for the camera) and paste it to frame 31. What this does is lock down the spline curve overshoot. Move to frame 32 move the camera where I want it and do a copy of that camera frame and paste it to frame 33. Now you have the camera spline locked down at the end of one movement and at the beginning of then next. Using the above method you can have a moving camera and also do cut cuts within a scene.
However a better method would be to get a video editing program and edit all the scenes together outside of Poser. Much more flexible and less likely to lose your work if the computer crashes.

There is no way to change the camera while the animation is playing, that is why it stops. The reason is that any movements (unless you turn the camera key red) will be taken to be a frame to be keyed and Poser does not do real time animation (yet).

Hi, I've created an animation with some keyframes. Is it possible to change the perspective of the camera while playing the animation?
Thanks, Josh
