New Poser Users Help F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 4:33 pm)
New to Poser? Ask questions here for expert help!
Try asking in either the poser 11 or Poser forums even possibly on smith micros forum. Not sure to many people notice the new user forum here. I've not really used the new rigging symmetry myself, so sorry no assistance there.

Consider me insane if you wish, but is your reality any better?
You need to create all the bones from the start on both sides. The Symmetry works on the weigh maps or legacy rig, not on the bones it self. Personally I use the PHIBuilder to set up the bones outside Poser and then import the output from that. Much faster and easier for me.

Hi there, quick question:
After sculpting a model, I was trying to rig said model in Poser 11, but I'm stuck at mirroring the bones now.
I could only find tutorials about weightmap symmetry and how to rig in other programs but poser :/ After grouping all the body parts, creating the bones and naming them appropriately; how do I mirror the bones? ^^
Right now, I have the right leg and right arm fully grouped and boned. I appreciate any help, thanks.
