Not familiar with the product but from the description could be the cat suit has overlapping UV zones. If this is the case you can't paint over the whole object in one go, its necessary work on each zone separately.
Thanks. I have one more idea I can try, if it doesn't work then I'll have to settle for less or maybe create it for another character.
Thanks again.
Hi Is it the Aiko 3 Ultra Catsuit from Daz3D?
For something like the Catsuit a seem guide may be your best friend - it's used as a transparent overlay in photoshop etc so you know where to paint your design.
snow sultan created many such seam guides for the Daz figures and some of the clothing - here is an archived link to the catsuit guide

The seem guides used to be linked on the Daz site and forums but the they have changed at least 5 times since I've been using Daz and things have been lost - I'm sure they are still linked on the read me and wiki but some don't work any longer.

Yes that's the one. I tried using the guide but I still had some problems with it where it didn't wrap completely around the character leaving a line where the texture isn't meeting end to end. Maybe I'll have to paint outside of the lines a bit. The line that goes around the leg was also uneven or too thick. I took a look at some other textures that came with the Aiko 3 catsuit and they have lines where I want my texture to begin so I'm going to use that as a guide to help me out.along with the texture map as a reference.

Hi.
Texturing is probably harder than modelling to be honest, so don't get discouraged.
The guide uses the Daz material zones from the geometry so the guidelines are limited by it's wobbliness.
When texturing you need to go over the edge of the guide and you need to render each time you check your progress reason : if you don't go over the edge you will see a white gap when you render / if you don't render you're texture will look fuzzy and you will see gaps in you're texture.
I just checked the guide on the catsuit and I can definitely see a white seem down the back so you would need to go over the edges on that area and the arms and others I would assume from the quick look I just did. The guides are just a starting point though and I remember Snow Sultan spent many hours on the catsuit as it was extremely complicated when it was first released.
Also watch out if you're using a morphed Aiko it can distort the mesh and make it difficult to get straight lines.

Thanks this is helpful. I didn't even consider that a morphed Aiko would cause an issue. That's exactly what I'm working from. I feel better now about accomplishing what I have in mind. I was so focused on trying to learn how to create the texture that it didn't even occur to me that I was even using a Morphed Aiko 3. I'm so I glad I decided to ask for help instead of trying to grind a solution out of this one. I'm glad that there are people here to help too lol.

Which Aiko3 morph did you use?
I created her using the Aiko 3 morphs https://www.daz3d.com/aiko-3-0-morphs-and-maps. I also used the Ngm morph (breast morph) for Aiko 3 https://www.daz3d.com/ngm-for-v3-a3-sp3 You really need to have the Aiko 3 morphs in order to get anything exciting from Aiko 3.
Here is another version of the Aiko 3 Catsuit. This is the unedited version rendered in SuperFly. I still get grainy dots when I use SuperFly not sure how to get improve on that. I think maybe it's something in the skin material settings causing the issue. Anyway, the catsuit works great with a few tweeks and Poser Pro 11.

what is the best way or correct way to make textures for the Aiko 3 Catsuit. I've been trying to get it right, but my end results makes me think that I'm doing some thing wrong or I'm doing it the wrong way. Is there a way I can paint on this model or put a photo image on it and "peel" or unflod the material off. I've been successful with making new textures for some of the Aiko 3 clothes but this catsuit isn't working out as nicely.
I've tried to pain on it using Hexagon but couldn't get that to work. It would pain on some of the model but not all. I don't have UV Mapper and I tried to do it in blender but got lost. My problem is that some of the designs aren't lining up even when I use the template image as a guide. So I was hoping that there was some way I could pain on the model in 3D and then some how unfold it to have a better understanding how the things should line up.
Any information that can guide me in the right direction will help. Because trying to get an even ring around the way I'm doing it isn't going to be anything of quality.
Thanks
