Subject: beginner wanting to add texture

I'm just starting using Poser 14 Pro. I'm getting there. I have a model, HMS Sword that I'm working with to learn Poser. I note the model comes with no texture, just the standard smooth grey. I went into the Texture tab and chose a texture from the model's file. However, applying that texture to my model has me stumped. Is there a tutorial available on applying textures. I'm not going to be working with figures but with objects. Any suggestions?

Here are some free youtube tutorials. Some are for older versions of poser but they go over the basic ideas. Warning, there is some poser character nudity.
