Subject: Problem with P11.1 Update ...

I received the email that the 11.1 update was live. Used SM

Dowload Manager and the upodate panel had the download.. I downloaded and installed. Poser shows it is updated to 11.1 but the new characters are not there.

In the DLM INSTALLERS tab are a bunch of things for dowlad..vers 11.06 plus on top e link for it appears, full Poser 11.1 ... I had already applied the update, but the content installers say Poser 11 must be installed first.

I'm confused ... Do I have to reinstall my full Poser installation?poser updates.jpgposer installer.jpg

You can install them manually by going into your SM download manager directory (in Downloads on windows) and find the .exe installers. You only need to install the nude figures. None of the other content installers have updates in them.

Having the same problem here, was able to install the update and the nude figure set with Paul 2 & Pauline 2 but every other installer keeps telling me I have no Poser 11 even though I do. Nor do they pay attention when I try pointing them at my Poser 11 folder. Obviously something is borked but what?

ADDING: Okay, if I don't need to install anything else but these two .exe files then all is good?

Same problem, only it also happens when I try to manually install Paul 2 & Pauline 2 from the download folder. I'm wondering if not having Poser on my "C" drive is part of the problem.

I had to install Poser again over my copy using the download manager installer. I haven't checked to see if there was an installer update to fix this.... I also noticed on reinstalling Support materials I had to redirect it to the location several times.

The dust settled, thinking "what a fine home, at least for now" not realizing that doom would soon be coming in the form of a vacuum cleaner.

Lucky people you all - I have tried 4 times and the Figures update Download refuses to complete....

Somehow this represents the half assed way that Smith Micro is hurting themselves. The idea that an update is not a simple update tells me a lot.

Sorry but for me it worked well, only the Nudes update I had to restart at least 6 times before I got it finally. SM had always problems with the download speed, Usually I get at least 1 MB/s and with better servers up to 3 MB/s but with SM I got between 90 kbit/s and in Maximum 400 kbit/s so the download of a 1.8GB file takes time.

Downloads easily. Installs terribly. Update worked, that's it. All the rest say Poser 11 not installed, even pointed at that directory. Very bad form for an installer.

It also messes up anything you are working on. Loses all references to file locations, recent projects etc. I wish I had not updated.
