Subject: Microsoft kills Kinect

After ceasing production of the Kinect peripheral itself, Micorsoft has now annouced that it's discontinued production of the adaptor needed to use the device with newer consoles. https://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-ones-kinect-is-really-dead-now-basically/1100-6455854/

So, what's going to take its place? And which version of the Kinect can be used with a PC and not just with a console? If they are going to be in short supply, now might be the time to get one. Or maybe last week before the vintage game store downtown closed for good. I seem to recall the Kinect that worked (best?) with Poser was not the same one that could be used with iClone. Anyone got the real lowdown on that?
