I really wish the clearance system would go or change. Sure I like the little saving you can get on items that haven't sold in a while, but I HATE that if no one buys it within the two months of it being set to clearance it gets killed off. I get that it is in place to "unclutter" Renderosity, but instead of making these items no longer available it would be so much better if they just ended up in a clearance bin section where we can still buy them. Just don't show them in search results unless we tick a box to say we wish to search the clearance bin also. That way everyone wins.

I agree. I would like to see something better than paltry discount before probable death. If the products stay in circulation, they could go on sale at some point and sell again. They could receive Prime discounts. They could go in VGS sales and so on.

Yes, I find it weird that items can disappear off the shop over time when they might still be useful to someone occasionally. Some while back I came across a freebie add-on item over at ShareCG that would convert a particular little spaceship to look more Star Trek, and it referenced that you needed a particular, named product from over here at Renderosity, Basically the add-on at ShareCG took a small, retro-futurish shuttlepod that had short stubby wings,slapped Classic Trek warp engine pods on it, and changed the shaders on the vehicle to look more Classic Trek, I liked the overall space ship design, not so much the Trek-ified version of it there, so came over here looking for it.... and it was on the No Longer Available For Purchase list. GACK!!!

The mod is still on ShareCG last I looked.... but its largely useless if you don't already have the shuttlepod itself from here. oO

It's not like they're deleted from the Rosity server: if someone bought it once before, it still has to be there for future downloads.

If we can have 1400 bra and panties sets in the Marketplace, surely there's room for older products with slightly more functionality.

I fully share CobraBlade's opinion, and I like his suggestion of a clearance bin section. For example, I am heavily interested to purchase 3 or 4 products of 3D-Age, that are in status "unavailable" as long as I can remember.

Also, there was a sales promotion about 2 years ago with a name like "Resurrection from the dead", where lots of "unavailable" products have been offered for purchase for a short time. This was great, and I was able to order many long-wished items that usually have "unavalable" status. Unfortunately, the 3D-Age products were not in this promotion.

My great wish therefore is a clearance bin section, so as CobraBlade has suggested, or a repeat of the "Resurrection from the dead" sales action, this time including the 3D-Age products of "unavailable" status.
