Subject: Poser Pro hangs on opening pz3 files

Hi all.

Yesterday I opened an older pz3 scene that I haven't worked on for some time, but my workflow finally caught up with it. I did some minor editing; aligning a couple of objects, and played around with the cameras trying to get some perspective effects. I saved the file as a new file. But when i went to open it I got the spinning beachball. I waited several minutes but no joy. I tried to open the original file and got the same result. Then I tried other older versions of the scene (with less complete parts) and got the same!!!

Now I keep Poser 7 around because sometimes it is just more stable. Every single pz3 opened in Poser 7 no problems! I even tried resaving again - with a different filename. Tried to open/import to Poser Pro - beachballs.

I looked for my poser prefs, thinking to delete them, but the pref folder was empty! I reset the preferences in the app, and nothing appeared in the pref folder!

Any ideas?

Thanks

Not sure personally about this issue ... but to help us help you could you give us some more detail.

  1. what is your OS? 32 or 64 bit?
  2. What is your graphics card?
  3. What version of Poser are you using.
  4. and a step by step workflow of the issue
  5. If there is any error messages please share.
  6. Screenshot if applicable

This way the guru's here can better analyze the situation for you.
