Subject: Import FBX scenes with correct coordinates question.

BatmansRenderosity ( ) posted Tue, 08 January 2019 at 3:05 PM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 6:25 AM

When I export a scene from 3DSMAX to use in Poser as FBX and import in Poser all the objects are imploded onto the central 0 X,Y, Z axis and need to be moved out again to recreate the scene.

Is there any way to do this with FBX without the task of putting everything into their right positions?

I do need to move some of the objects in the scene. Hence FBX.

Thanks.

Is there any solution to this? I open up a scene in Max. The objects are separate. I would like to import into Poser so that the objects are separate and I can move them around but aren't all loaded up in the wrong coordinates.

While I didn't find a solution to this I am currently doing the following.

Open up scene in Max.

Delete all the objects except for one.

Export the object.

That way at least you don't have to assemble absolutely everything in Poser. You can import the objects and build the scene again.
