Subject: How do you animate a color change.

authintix ( ) posted Fri, 17 May 2019 at 9:30 AM · edited Tue, 19 November 2024 at 9:52 AM

Hello,

I'm trying to change andy model's color from one to the other by animating it. First off. I'm not really sure how to change the material nodes around and all that. When I try to nothing changes at all on the andy figure, even when selected.

Trying to change andy from blue to red

From: blue.PNG

TO:

red.PNG

If anyone could help, I would definitely appreciate it.

For your case, you could click the animated property icon (key) in the simple color node, and in frame 1 set the color to blue, then go to frame 30 and set the color to red:

The PoserSurface Diffuse_Color is already animatable as are all color chips. No need to add a SImple_Color node.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Thank you all soooo much!!!! I got it to work with my materials. I didn't scroll all the way over from the left side and saw a "User_Defined" Node that had RGB colors set and I was able to animate it!!!
