Subject: Advocating for a thorough use of the Promo Credit tab

When a product comes out, especially if human based, a merchant will of course use other products in his promo shots to make it appealing. It's normal, it's necessary not to mention it's much prettier. However... many of our beloved merchants aren't very thorough when it comes to credit the source for some of the bits they used for their promos. I see dozens (if not hundreds) of cases where a female character will be advertised and the dress they're wearing on the main promo will be referenced in the Promo Credits tab but not the hair, or the stuff used in this or that secondary promo will not be mentioned at all. Some merchants don't even reference anything. I find it unkind to other merchants and also a bit annoying as if I like a certain look that the merchant gave to the character, I might want to go the same route but have to beg around for info about the wig, the shoes or whatever was used there. I also feel that a given merchant who puts out a character in the MP will be glad to answer PM's about their product but won't find it flattering when, instead, they're asked "Hey, nice hair on your character, what is it", thus promoting someone else's product instead of their own, while a simple reference in Promo Tab would free them from that chore all the while promoting their own stuff. In short: I feel it should be mandatory that all products used in a promo shot be referenced. Maybe it's just me but hey :)...

This has been addressed more than once. Additional item attribution is up to the merchant. It's great when it happens, but it may not happen because sometimes the items are custom, no longer available, etc. It's the same on other sites.
