Blender 2.8 RC1 is out now, and it's quite stable. It's not the official release, but it's not a beta release either. It may be another week before the official release because there are still bug reports coming in. Please download and try the RC1. The more people we have testing this release the more bugs can be worked out for the official release.

And now is RC2 available for download.Seems like we have to wait another couple of days.
I was visiting blender.org this morning to see if 2.8 was available (or 2.80 as they call it).
btw Also learned this info this wek: blender has been granted 1.2 M$ by Epic (a fundation related to Unreal). Epic-Games-Give-Blender-Foundation-12M

Wow, the Blender Foundation can certainly put that to good use.

I saw this thread but did not check the post date so I thought that Blender 2.80 has been released officially.

And another one :)
note: we are talking of Ubisoft Animation Studio here, a branch of Ubisoft not the game company itself.

And now time for RC3.
Adressing some crash issues; Sorry couldn't get information on that release content.
Anyway, seems like the game is still going on :)

Yeah, I downloaded 2.8 today and installed it, only to find that my laptop can't run it. So I'm stuck with 2.79 until I get a new laptop.

I have the same issue Earl. The OpenGL on this puppy isn't high enough.

Well, I'm not. I like Blender, but it usually takes me a while to upgrade to the next version anyway. And I can still create my models, so no skin off my nose.
