That really is a shame — they had some great stuff for Poser.

Yup - they had such a bad security breach and upon review, found out they had to re-build their website which would cost them too much, so they decided to shut down. That's what the say, anyway. They did charge local Japanese taxes on top for purchases. They say the law requires them to do this because their servers are based inside Japan.
