Hi,

Windows just installed CU KB4512508 and now Poser Pro 11 won't start I just get image.png

I can't find any log entry to give me even a slight clue, anyone else having this issue?

I uninstalled the CU and did an uninstall re-install of Poser Pro 11 but to no avail

Query - did you create a System Restore point before running this thingy? Otherwise, how did you uninstall - via Add/Remove Programs (control panel), or ...?

Amethyst - I just did that same Update and poser opens with no issue - How did you uninstall poser? I would try using a better uniinstaller than windows

Geek Uninstaller

Revo Uninstaller

Bit the bullet and did a system restore and back to having a working system!

...and that's why I pop a System Restore point every time, and right before, I install an update to a major app, or OS updates, or video card updates. Same with Time Machine on a Mac.

Doing this has saved me so much grief so many times... Oh, things went sideways? System Restore! Windows Update irrevocably b0rked the nvidia drivers? System Restore (and find out why)! {you name it}? System Restore!

W7 or W10? I haven't had any problems although I have not updated P11 and still running 11.0.7.33999

W10, Ryzen 5 1600x, 16Gb,RTX2060Super+GTX980, PP11, 11.3.740

Best to read the writing. I'm creating a system restore point right now.

On my system Windows completed the CU KB4512508 on the 13th of this month and my Poser 11 is working fine. I have version 11.1.1.35510 installed on my system. There have been no issues with Poser.
