Subject: African Pauline's Eye Depth

I was testing out the African version of Pauline (for a Storm model) when I noticed her eyes seem a little sunken into the sockets. Was it originally this way? When I try to move her eyes forward they warp the skin around them. Pauline Eye Flaw C.png

Okay. After examining it more closely I found it this model does have corneas but they don't appear well. I still would like to bring her eyes up forward a bit more and have her eyelids wrap more tightly around them.

So no one can tell me how I can fix the extra space between the eyes and the lids? Do I have to export it to another program just do that? It's just a few milimeters.

I needed time to experiment as I've never dealt with this, and I also have a job. I found the eye not only in the wrong position but also the wrong orientation (pointing somewhat down). I was able to correct one eye using a magnet. This is tedious but it does work. I presume I could make it so for the other eye as well with a second magnet.

Here the left eye has been corrected.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

I wish to note that every one of the supplied eye textures has burned-in specular reflections on the iris and they should all be discarded. You cannot get the proper appearance with these textures.

I have to say though that I didn't download new copies. If Rendo fixed the textures, great. But if they're the same as the previous iteration, they're bad.

Judging by the materials supplied with the new content, I'd say "No". Honestly, mate, you'd freak.

Just thought of something...

Using the Joint Editor may be effective. I've used it to correct slight imperfections in my own models when rigging. Should work for the eyes. I'll give it a shot and report back.

My mistake. It ain't the Joint Editor, it's farting around in the Cr2 that solves it. Oh well, apologies.

Thanks guys. I was worried this model couldn't be adjusted for something so minor within Poser. I could have just tried working with La Femme but Pauline already supplied details I could work with for a static model.

There is an African morph on the eyes to attempt to re-position the eyes to match the face morph. However, the morphs just pivot the eyes down. They are not sufficient.

Here is a screen shot with the morph on the left eye and off on the right eye.

With Victoria 4, we would use the X Y Z translate controls to move the eyes.

Unfortunately, that is impossible with Pauline. The eyes are rigged with weight mapped to affect the head on the translate controls. You might be able to fix it by using Joint Editor to disable the weight maps.
