Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 03 1:41 pm)
"Your site does not have a place to setup a user account. Renderosity has no mention of this migration from smith-micro to Bondware. I am confused, either this is a big deal, legitimate and backed for long term confidence in product move, or the final gasps on the death bed.
You set up your user account when you made this post. Both Renderosity and Smith Micro have made announcements about Renderosity taking over ownership of Poser. The old Smith Micro Poser forum still has an announcement on their web page that says "Poser Now At Renderosity". This was four months ago. You can read about it here. As far as I know, all the links there are still active, including one which take you to the Poser Support page, where you can even submit a trouble ticket.
I'm hoping a Macintosh version of Poser will be written that will render in Metal. Here's a fine article about Metal (You can skim over the history in the first part, if you like): https://appleinsider.com/articles/19/10/18/editorial-mac-pro-puts-the-pedal-to-metal-in-apples-race-with-nvidia Or, how about Blender or Lux being written to render in Metal?

I received an email about the change of ownership for Poser from Bondware. Offers to upgrade. The bondware site is sparse on details. I can find no information on the shift. Specifically outlined in my inquiry to Bondware:
_"Your site does not have a place to setup a user account. Renderosity has no mention of this migration from smith-micro to Bondware. I am confused, either this is a big deal, legitimate and backed for long term confidence in product move, or the final gasps on the death bed.
There needs to be a LOT more communication about what is going on with Poser, it's continued development and support, and where to find that support.
Right now I see nothing to give me confidence in this products future."_
Anyone here that can clear up the matter? Any help appreciated.
