Subject: Poser Library Contains no Content

jjoyner ( ) posted Sun, 17 November 2019 at 11:14 AM · edited Tue, 05 November 2024 at 10:42 AM

I installed Poser Pro 11.2.296 yesterday. I have two drives in my laptop and pointed the Poser installation to the default location on the C drive (512 Gb SSD) and the content to the D drive (1 Tb HDD) at D:PublicDocumentsPoser 11 Content. Once Poser and the content files were installed, I launched Poser. The library contains the folder structure for all of the content but is empty of any content except the base La Femme figure. The Poser 11 Content folder contains nearly 9 Gb of files; the great majority of it (about 6.6 Gb is in Textures). Most of the files in all of the folders are image files (png or jpg). Any advice of what I can do to fix my problem?Library problem.png

You need to download the legacy content - from here and install it.

Thanks. I downloaded the legacy content a while ago but wasn't sure if I needed to install it. I was leaning in that direction for tomorrow, but your reply confirms my suspicions.

You may also need to wait until Poser finishes indexing that much new content, after install. If you see a pulsing yellow 'CD' icon at the top of the Library panel, that indicates that the indexing of the new content is taking place.

Bart,

Thanks. In looking for an answer to my plight before finally posting, I read a few posts about indexing of the content.
