If your not familiar with 3D Buzz the site was devoted to all manner of artistic training in a variety of software apps, including Blender, as well as art theory, drawing and anatomy among other things. The site is now closing down and they are releasing all their training material for free. There is no mention as to how long the training will be available before the site disappears so it might be worth getting in quick. 3D Buzz

There are some really good Python and C++ tutorials available there I noticed. Those should still be quite useful. The Blender tuts are ok, but anyone who started using Blender around v2.8x may have some difficulty following along. Most of the Blender tuts are using v2.72, so hotkeys, UI and add-ons may be very different and the render engines and materials have changed drastically since then. It's still good for learning basic concepts of 3d modeling and animation though.

I'm sure you're right Lobo. Probably trying to download at a late hour will find the servers not so busy. I've seen that happen all too often.

Will give it a try I am glad that I did get most of the Blender ones before their servers started acting up

Well, I'm tried again, and what I found is, the first 2 groups of Blender zips are the one's giving me the "busy" issue, However, the 3 in the next Blender Complete group are downloading just fine. That's weird, as you would think they'd all be on the same server.

OK, I spoke too soon. I got the first 2 downloads, but the 3rd is giving me the "busy" issue again. ~sigh~

Edited to Add: OK, I waited a few minutes, and then refreshed my browser, and got a couple more, so it's doable, you just need patience.

It seems that refreshing my browser does the trick, and I don't have to wait too long to try it. I've got a whole bunch of Blender and Maya downloads, and am now grabbing a few ZBrush.

I noticed it was hit and miss as well tried using another browser as well that seemed to help some

I found right-clicking in FF and "save link as" defeated the server busy message.

Really? I just looked again, and it still says the downloads are temporarily disabled. I'm sure their server was getting too much traffic all at once. Most web hosts limit how much traffic you can have (such as downloads) before they'll start charging extra.

Those zips are big! Putting the material up for free must have sent their bandwidth through the roof. I downloaded a couple items and checked them out, but I don't need anything. I let them go. Too easy to be a digital hoarder!

Also, Reddit was working on putting together a torrent and/or re-hosting the files elsewhere, may want to look into that to see what they've come up with.

Shame to see 3DBuzz go, I spent a fair time over there when I was first getting into CG. :(

Well, the 3D Buzz site's page is showing everything again, BUT, none of the links are live. Whether they'll make them live again some time today, this week, or before the end of the month, I have no idea. It's possible they posted the page without live links so folks will know they're bringing the page back live at some point. Most web hosts allow you a certain amount of traffic (downloads) per month, so they may not be able to have live links until Feb. 1st.

Seems due to the download issues if you have not gotten all the files you have been trying to get there is a torrent available that you can pick and choose the files and download that way you still need to go to 3DBuzz website and at the top you can find the torrent link as with any torrent scan files and also I am not posting link here since that would be a violation of TOS so please do not post the link in any thread on Renderosity

OK, never mind. I looked up Torrents in Wikipedia, and it explained what they are.

Now I'm stuck . . . what software do I need to open the Torrent file?

I personally have been using Tixati for the last 5 years it is free no spyware no adware safe and pretty easy to setup
