Poser Python Scripting F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Sep 18 2:50 am)

We now have a ProPack Section in the Poser FreeStuff.
Check out the new Poser Python Wish List thread. If you have an idea for a script, jot it down and maybe someone can write it. If you're looking to write a script, check out this thread for useful suggestions.

Also, check out the official Python site for interpreters, sample code, applications, cool links and debuggers. This is THE central site for Python.

You can now attach text files to your posts to pass around scripts. Just attach the script as a txt file like you would a jpg or gif. Since the forum will use a random name for the file in the link, you should give instructions on what the file name should be and where to install it. Its a good idea to usually put that info right in the script file as well.

Using Azure for Poser can boost productivity and speed to market based upon your comfort zone in using it. Teams may work on projects and complete backlogs of Poser content. Teams may also launch completed continuous deployment-projects using DevOps.

The Question: "How do you measure a Poser extension's build time in Azure when you create your storefront pipelines using PoserPython methods?"

Hi Habatchii, that sounds very interesting, what do you really use azure for?... are you consuming cloud services or something?

Azure and their agent community DevOps are an IT service model typically used for ecommerce and corporate publishing/deployment. Currently, Poser has been centralized (sales-wise) at Renderosity with splinter cells elsewhere. Azure may help Poser content providers remain under Renderosity's EULA as well open new channels for content deployment and other revenue. It's like the Renderosity Marketplace plus an auto-update on your entire build process.

I personally suggest using Visual Studio to boot your content. They have a community (free) and professional edition as well as an online edition. It works fluently with Azure and teams under 5 membership may access the service without charge.

The Azure pipeline and workflow can very exhaustive. Teams may help mitigate productivity issues by equally distributing workflow. As a new user, it would be highly suggested to launch by requesting other content providers to join a team. I have initiated a working pipeline and may be available for team building. If interested; reply to this thread.

For me it looks like "Habatchii" is a bot or something similar. If you lookup this name on github, you will find lots of more or less empty projects with him as the only person who left some text files. Nothing more. No "team".
