HiveWire is offering some free items in connection with their Stay Home, Spread Hope render contest. Including the House Cat, a unicorn, and a bunch of botanicals. Good through Mar. 31.

The unicorn needs the hivewire horse and at least the tree prop is Firefly only, but useful and good stuff for sure.

BTW Randy, the end date of the render challenge is May 31, not March 31, which is next Tuesday.

Oops. You're right. I'm so used to sales being only a few days.

Actually, we usually do our render challenges for about a month, but this one Lisa decided should be longer so folks can stay busy while being forced to stay at home.

As far as the free products, I'm not sure if the group that's up there now will be there for the whole time. I "think" she may be adding a new batch every week or so. I'm not sure about that but, again, I "think" that's what she's planning. I'll have to check with her to be sure.

Even though most of the content is more oriented towards Firefly, it shouldn't be that difficult to convert them for Superfly rendering.

Yes the "Sale" ends May 31st, but that doesn't mean some more freebies can't be added to those now on sale, or some on sale now could be replaced with other freebies. I'm still waiting for Lisa to let me know which way she's planning on handling this.

Yes you can pay up to 15% of the sub total bill with points. So you would need to spend ($65/0.15)-$65 = $368.33 in their store to use it all.

The purchase (of $368 + $65 = $433) will earn you 4330 new points.

It essentially is a way to earn discount.

Nothing wrong with discount though. Their prices are reasonable and so is 15% as a discount for regular clients.

Yes, noted that. Much appreciated and very well intended no doubt, but it kind of bleaks the charm of that contest. The limited seleced amount of stuff you had to use at least three from gave an element of unity and called for creativity. The larger 'stock' to choose from makes that go away.

caisson has posted a Superfly material setup for the Fallen tree and greens in the render challenge forum thread for these freebies :)

Or you can use SceneFixer to fix the tree materials and it works fine in Superfly after that.
