Subject: To uninstall or not to uninstall?

I finally got around to downloading the new patch for Poser, however instead of patching it, the installer wants to uninstall the program first, but it doesn't give me the option to save any of my program preferences or library locations, so what do I do?

The program will only uninstall any legacy content that came with the original program, anything that you manually installed will be safe. Just make sure that you select retain custom settings that you created. Your other alternative is not to uninstall and have the program simply overwrite all the original program. Again, you can elect to retain personal settings.

I install over my existing program installation, retain my existing preferences, and install content to my preferred (existing) location. No issues so far.
