My wife, Claire, an infrequent visitor here under the name of PurpleJelly, is awaiting tests for a suspicious lump she found. Her doc gave her an examination, now she's waiting to go for scans. Her family history ain't in her favour here; her aunt died of cancer, her mother had a spinal tumour removed.

If that wasn't enough, she's showing signs of nerve damage, which could be due to a change in her meds. She has monthly injections for B12, but her doc decided - against specialist advice - to change them to a daily tablet. Has to go for tests for this, too.

Please keep my good lady in your thoughts; I'm biased in her favour but she really is a lovely person and doesn't deserve this.

Some good news...

Claire had an ultrasound and mammogram. All clear. Some odd tissue but nothing sinister. She'll be under obs for the foreseeable but so far, so good.

That is great news. It's been pretty dicey for your family recently and I'm glad that everything, health-wise, is looking up.

I'll second hborre's comment. Good news is always a welcome change.
