Subject: Michael 4 with Morph Add-on's

Hi!

I have the Poser Pro 11, but I am having problems with getting the morph add-on packages to work with it. I can load them in an external runtime. I can then load the Morphs++, but only some of them work. The full morphs Is this because I'm trying to use the ShaderWorks Library Manager 2? I will get this message when I click on Poser/DAZ's Michael 4/Morph Injections/Morphs++/Body/1_Full Body in the ShaderWorks Library Manager 2

I guess there are two questions first.

  1. Did you install M4 and the Morphs++ correctly, such that they work fine the normal way, i.e without using ShaderWorks? (Search Google Search for: "Tutorial: how to activate and load Micheal 4 and Morphs++" for a setup guide).

  2. I'm unfamiliar with the ShaderWorks Library Manager 2, but is it perhaps one of those scripts that for Poser 11 needs the 'AVfix' applied before running it?

Also, I found this advice for the same problem, on an old forum post where the problem remained un-solved by this possible fix...

"Are you using External Binary Morph in Poser? Check under General Preferences to see if this feature is activated. Untick that feature when you get a chance, it is not relevant if you have no intentions of developing content across Poser and DAZ platforms. It causes more problems than it is worth."

Assuming that you are running the current Poser 11 which is the build 11.3.818, you may need to run AVfix to properly fix ShaderWorks. You can find the script here: https://www.poserlounge.nl/PLWP/fix-for-scripts-in-poser-11-2/. Just follow the instructions and hope it corrects the issue, otherwise, you will need to use the conventional method to load morphs through the Poser Library. Review the setup guide HartyBart mentioned, you might have an initialization problem that is either lacking or incomplete or your base M4 and morph++ are not installed in the same runtime, defeating any attempt for initialization. External Binary Morph has nothing to do with your problem as suggested in the previous post. Many of the problems encountered with PMD in the past have been corrected. The PMD files are only generated when a morphed figure is saved back into the Poser Library with the External Binary Morph feature check on. Since you are trying to inject morphs into a base figure, this scenario does not apply to your situation.

Thanks for the quick replies! I will try that now and hope for the best!

Take care!

Hello!

I was never able to get the ShaderWorks Library Manager 2 to work after running the Avfix. I was able to get the morphs to work by just using the Poser internal library. I also make sure to run the "Initialize Michael" shortcut every time I start Poser.

Thanks for the suggestions and help!

Take care!

You're welcome. You only need to run the initialization once unless you add another morph package to your runtime folder, at which point you run the bat file again.

Yes, that sounds like the problem. The Morphs++ only need to be initialized the once, and then you're 'good to go' until you get a new PC or re-install Windows.
