Gen1 works with symmetry on my machine in P11. Gen3 and Gen8 never supported in Poser so there you go. btw I never use Gen 1 or 2 even though I've got that stuff loaded up. DSON just too slow to work with.
Ghost, I appreciate the input but that statement is completely inaccurate. DSON and a certain path/procedure allows for the use of any figure or prop from DAZ into Poser. I can and do use Genesis 3 and 8 in Poser 2014 and P11. They may not be "supported" by Smith or Bondware, and they have serious limitations - but you can get them in and they work. As I said, symmetry works on 3 and 8 in 2014 with the exception of the thigh. Why it doesn't recognize the thigh, I don't know. Could be a naming issue or misalignment of the bones. But it works. Now it does not in P11 - meaning someone at Bondware development intentionally changed something in symmetry to made it stop working between 10 and 11. Why is that? DSON is not slow if you set Poser to work with it correctly. Looking at your config beneath your post, I'd say you need more RAM. I run with 128g. No problems using DSON.
I doubt anyone intentionally sabotaged DSON. It's probably fallout from other changes they made. Among Poser 11's new features:
SuperFly Render engine based on Cycles
Pixar Subdivision Surfaces Version 3
Multi-resolution Morphs for Subdivided Meshes
Customizable Shortcut Keys
Scalable User Interface
User Adaptable Rigging
Smooth Linear Transformation
Body Control Props
Cartoon Mode Control Panel

I don't see the poser 11 forum is locked.
Have you tried the custom option for g3? I know there were some issues discussed on some of the other figures not working correctly due to the different body parts and it was recommended to try using the custom option at the bottom of the symmetry menu.

I was wondering about that, because I've been on the Poser 11 forum every day, multiple times a day.

Ah, thank you - some pertinent and relevant advice. I'll check that! Much appreciated!

Not sure how this post is relevant. I was asking about symmetry issues? You're speculating without any evidence or actual knowledge. Companies routinely disable other vendor's capabilities. For instance, DAZ finally admitted they were locking GoZ function to prevent anyone from getting HD morphs out of Zbrush back into DAZ. They consider their figures proprietary and thus reserve the right to control HD morphs for them (aka, control vendors who create them). You won't find that on their software descriptions. I had to get in a knock-down with their vendor management person to eventually learn that much. They have a special unlock system for GoZ that is only provided to their chosen vendors under license. So please don't assume Poser/DAZ never do such things. If you aren't Mr/Mrs. Bondware, don't speak for them. If you're an employee, identify yourself as such. Otherwise you're not speaking with authority. Just saying...
Curiously I now (today) have a NEW THREAD option again in P11 forum. I did not yesterday. I mean that button was digitally not there. It was in other forums. I find that odd. The button is in the same place in all forums - so why missing in that one? And now back after I mention it? Perhaps I'm blind and stupid. Who knows. Off to check out that custom option mentioned by Redphantom!

I've been having issues the last couple of days getting randomly logged out of Rendo. You can't tell you're logged out if the page is scrolled down a bit only that you can't post and can't mark threads that you've read. Maybe you got temporarily logged out and that is why you could not post.

I've noticed that, too. It's really annoying. It used to be that once you logged in on a computer, you stayed logged in, basically forever. Now I have to log in again every few hours.
Same for me. But I've noticed something, related to it or not - I don't know: often, when you're logged off, be it by time-out or cookie deleted, once you log in on a dedicated page, good design requires to move you back to the page where you were. And yes: it's been more than a week that the fact to log in once again (countless times a day) you're... in the store. I don't find this quite customer-friendly. Just my thought.

Same for me. You don't end up on the page you were on.
At first I thought the constant logouts were a security measure, but you don't actually have to put in a password to log back in.. Just clicking the "login" button will log you back in (and dump you on a different page). It doesn't increase security, it's just a pain.
And yeah, having it happen while you're shopping seems very ill-advised.

I never had any problems with using the Figure > symmetry features in PoserPro2014 with regard to DSON versions of DAZ figures imported into Poser. The only hitch was that the thighs of Gen3 and 8 would never copy. But arms and hands and below the knee worked fine. Of course 2014 got murdered, so I reverted back to Poser 10 essentially. When I finally decided to tinker with Poser 11 a while back, I noticed that none of the symmetry options work on DSON figures now. What happened? It works with La Femme (aka, La Uglyfrankenchick looks like she came out of Poser 3) but not with Gen 3 or 8. This previously was a functional operation in 10 and 2014. Does anyone know why this no longer works? I see no discernible or logical reason for this to be intentionally disabled unless they're just trying to block out use of DSON figures from DAZ. As said, it worked in 10.
