I'm assuming you're talking about plugs. If you have Metal Madness over at Daz, it comes with V4/Poser compatible tunnels, which are basically hollow plugs, that you could dissect and see how they work. If not, let me know and I can open it up and take a look.

Hmm, no this is my making jewelry for L'Homme. If there is a way to make a prop deform with the figure without loosing it's default shape that would be grand. If a conformer rather than a prop, can be made to keep it's default shape that would be good too. I just need a tutorial!
Thanks so much Vaskania!

I think there's a misunderstanding somewhere. What you call "ear dobbs" I'm assuming you mean plugs. Round discs that go into stretched ears, usually tapered or grooved w/ rubber rings to prevent them from falling out.
I'll take a look at metal madness and see how they pulled it off.

So, the plugs in the pack don't deform with the figure. They're smart parented to the figure's head, but also include morphs of their own to account for translation issues. If you morph V4's head, the plugs stay in place and require manual tweaking for figures that aren't included in the props' morphs. Ignore the lack of transparency. I don't have Advanced Shaders installed to apply the maps.

Hmmm, OK, so for each new head shape I'll have to reposition the dobbs or what every earring I have in place. So then that begs the question, how does one save out that as a morph to be embedded in the prop? I'm sorry to come across as completely ignorant but coming from DAZ Studio to working primarily in Poser I'm still getting my bearings.
So sorry for the late reply, I had a couple of clients that came by today and I'm just sitting down after dinner to check emails.
Thanks for all your help!

Embedding morphs in a prop I never bothered learning since the only real creation stuff I did in Poser was for Dawn, which used pmd morphs. For those I use D3D's Binary Morph Editor.
Looks like it might be as simple as just loading your prop, getting the morphs into it, setting your dials and whatnot, then saving it back out and just uncheck "binary morph targets". https://www.renderosity.com/rr/mod/forumpro/?thread_id=2812085

Thank you. I'll bookmark that thread for a little later!

Hi,
Say I wanted to make jewelry for L'Homme. I make what I call Ear Dobbs (round basic disks for expanding the ear lobe. BUT if it's a prop it sinks into the head when I morph the head into wider shapes. So it was suggested that I make the prop into a figure but then that brings on a new set of issues. Sure the dobbs would expand with the character but it also become mangled looking!
When I was using DAZ Studio there were ways around that deformation issue like locking the shape in. Is there a way to do that in Poser If so is there a tutorial you can post here or link me to on YouTube or elsewhere?
Thanks so much for your help!
Richard
