Hello, I hope you can help me. I have purchased Poser 11 pro and once in a while it askes me to connect to the internet - otherwise I can't use it. no problem, as long as I have an internet connection. But when I'm somewhere where I don't have internet access - I literally can't use the software. Now I wanted to open Poser and it shows me the registration page and my purchased serial key is there, name, everything and when I click on "ok" it just closes it .... what is going on? Can you help me please?

Launch P11 and look for the build number; if it begins with 11.0.xxx or 11.1.xxx, you'll need to transfer your licensing to Renderosity. SmithMicro no longer owns Poser, and they have shut down their license servers. Renderosity's first update (11.2.xxx) included a change to direct the licensing check to Renderosity's servers. The latest update is 11.3.xxx (I don't recall the exact build number)

You could send a site mail to one of the forum moderators (Digitell, CHMedia, or RedPhantom) if no one else responds. I vaguely seem to recall that I entered my P11Pro serial in the Renderosity marketplace, and Renderosity activated my license to their servers.

Poser 12, in feet.

OSes:  Win7Prox64, Win7Ultx64

Silo Pro 2.5.6 64bit, Vue Infinite 2014.7, Genetica 4.0 Studio, UV Mapper Pro, UV Layout Pro, PhotoImpact X3, GIF Animator 5

You would need to contact admin@renderosity.com for them to activate your license number. The moderators cannot do this for you.

Poser needs to "phone home" once in awhile, or it stops working. I think Smith Micro designed it as an anti-piracy measure, and Bondware is keeping that "feature," though people hate it.

You might try contacting support, and asking them to lengthen the time between check ins.

The last time I tested (with Poser 11.2, November 2019), Poser would last for nine days without an Internet connection. Smith Micro used to have a licensing dashboard which you could use to set your license to 'permanent' - although it later turned out to be less than permanent, it was at least better than 9 days.

If there is a way to lengthen the lease's time-to-live, it would be nice to have it freely available to any user who wants to operate offline, and not have to beg support for special treatment. If that is even possible.

The overall concern with the "permanent" leasing, and this has been posted by several users, is that if you need to roll back your OS software to an earlier backup you lose that feature. A major headache if you experience instability or corruption.
