Hi, I a bit late to the party, but I think I can share some of my experiences with Poser under Linux. I use Linux Manjaro and Wine, because Manjaro is like it's big brother Arch Linux a rolling release, so you are always getting the latest versions of the programs and kernels. I tested PP2014, P11 and P12 on Linux. PP2014 runs almost like under Windows, there are some minor inconveniences with the File Browser, it didn't show thumbnails which makes it difficult to search for textures in the materials room. Adobe Flash is not a problem, simply start the library as a separate window and Adobe Air kicks in. P11 is a different animal. You have to install several Dll files via wine tricks before it runs. Everything works fine, except the Firefly Render engine, it's not working at all. P12 runs one single time. After a restart there is a error message mentioned a problem beyond my capabilities.
FVerbaas that's an interesting question indeed. I never used render queue, simply because I got only one computer to work with and I didn't want to send my data into the internet. I will have a second computer with some more horse power at the end of the year, maybe i will give your idea a try. However, the Linus OS file system is way faster then NTFS therefore I can imagine that it can work properly. I really wish Bondware would make a Linux version of Poser. The Linux Community is growing, as one can see in regards to the gaming industry and no other 3D application is present on this platform except for Blender.
One easy first step could be to port the queue manager to linux, at least for CPU rendering: no interface library to deal with, which is too often the #1 problem

Anyone running P12 in Linux? If so, what version of Linux? What P12 features (if any) don't work in Linux? What GPU(s) do you have?
Also, if you happen to have any of these programs which I use for making Poser content, which work -or not- in Linux? Silo 2.5.6, Silo 2021, UV Layout Pro 2.11.02, Genetica 4.0 Studio, PhotoImpact X3, UV Mapper Pro 3.5c, Geometry Stripper, RunZip, Poser File Editor
