I'm sure this has been asked before, but I searched and couldn't find the answer. Do reward points expire? (I know that gift certificates do) but if I plan on taking a break from buying and just let my rewards points sit for say 6 months until I want to turn them into a gift certificate, they won't just disappear will they? (another site deletes your points over time, which is why i ask. )

No, the reward points don't expire.  As you mentioned the GCs you buy with the reward points do expire after, I believe, 30 days.  I have reward points for years sitting in my account, as I only use them when I want to purchase something(s) I can't afford at the time I want/need them.

That is correct. 😄 Reward points only expire after you create a gift certificate with them. the gift certificate expires 30 days from the date you purchase it. 😄
