Subject: Stopping the library syncing even after I set preference to sync

It is quite disruptive to workflow when the library keeps syncing and I need to find something but have to wait for the syncing to complete.  I have already unchecked the "synch on startup", so I have no idea why the Poser 12 library keeps synching.  Is there any way to halt the synching other than what I have already done (which doesn'tseem to work anyway).
