2 things to note when using the fitting room, when you load l'homme, he loads with a size morph loaded and that doesn't zero out with zero figure, you have to do it manually. And the best way to do heels is to make sure the sole of the shoe is flat and let the heel bend at an angle.
I would do those 2 things and try to get the boot in as close to the right position before exporting.

I use Poser 13 and win 10
What i do when fitting heels.
reset the LH figure size to zero
Get the heels of the foot to fit the shoe
bend and/or twist Toes (not the toes) and if necessary, the same with metatarsal (figure )
now use the opposite bend and twist on the shoes, then reset the figure
the shoe should be fitting don't worry about poke thru on sides of toes or on legs but still get it as close as possible
now click on the shoe properties and check all 5 'when conforming' options
Goto fitting room, create new fit shoe to figure setup, make sure you don't select zero figure or keep deformers
the shoe and figure should be fitting
if there is any poketru run a smooth with 0.0001 WM start at 6 iterations then try 10 then try 20 this should be enough
create a new figure and in the copy transforms unclick then click again Toes so that no toe parts are selected except for Toes
click all three options and go
when returning to the pose room hide the original shoes
select new shoes and copy morphs from figure
in properties make sure all the 'when conforming' options are selected
conform your new shoes
M4 - LH and V4 to LF

Not serving any quirk in preferences here, but just curious. So I have been figuring out best method to convert high-heeled boots originally for LF to LH. If I use Fitting Room, the stiletto heel disappears (gets fitted towards the LH figure). I tried using morph brush to the Upper material zone, to void distorting the Heel and Sole parts. However, this makes adjusting the heel and sole quite a laborious effort, if not a waste of effort. Now I am thinking maybe I should take the boot geometry and simply adjust to fit LH it inside Blender3D, then bring it back into Poser and rig it to fit LH.
Any views on best procedure for such an exercise ?
