Subject: P12 not responding

Hello all,

weird thing since last couple of days ... even in a simple scene, a twitch of a morphdial,  a movement of the camera, switching to another external runtime, moving a light etc causes poser's scene to go ''milky whiite''  saying  'poser not responding'  it doesn't recover from this and i have to close down poser each time ...

in the past the not responding thing happened also, (not as much as now) but it recovered the scene after a minute or so and i could continue workng.

i can't recall i've had a windows update  (deactivated that) unless something installed anyway behind my back.). So poser ran for 2 years smoothly without a flaw and now it 's 'not responding' every 2 minutes or so after startup, loading a scene and twitch a dial or something.

does p12 need edge browser perhaps for god knows whatever reason as that is the only thing i've changed .  allthough i never use it, Edge started nagging constantly all of a sudden, ..  popupscreens to configure it, personalize it,  use it as default browser etc etc ...   ( I never used it, and never will, not even since it was still  iExplorer) so I deactivated that one in registry.   could it be related to poser ?  (funny note,  even with deactivation in registry, preventing and blocking it everywhere else possible, edge just starts in a jiff when clicking the edge  exe.

and even a more weird thing :   as i couldn't find a solution I  restored a complete C:drive systembackup from early january when poser still worked fine.  guess what ??  launching  poser right after restoring the backup(without even any other program has taken an update or driverupdates etc)  results in the same ''not responding'' behaviour !  that just blew my mind ...

has anyone an explanation what's happening ?  or even a solution perhaps ?
poser version 12.0.757.0  win10

thanks already in advance for your answers !

The "in the past" problem when Poser would stop responding temporarily may be autosave.

You mentioned rolling back windows. You didn't say if you've tried reinstalling Poser. It may be something in Poser got corrupted.

Yes thank you PhyL, there was something in it indeed ... "re-installing poser , but in a completely different folder than the previous installation''

i have tried poser out, and so far no ''not respondings''  I haven't been able yet to work for a couple of hours  due to RL interfering with 3Dwork, :D :D

but it's looking pretty good so far !

Seems to be the case indeed.  Re-installing has fixed it so far (as replied to PhyL)  TYVM !

So far so good, ...  i've worked in poser a couple of hours without any hickups :D

But now Queuemanager is acting weird ...  as you can see in the screenshot
in taskmanager(taakbeheer) the processes are running., but in the queuemanager the progress stays at 0% (it's like this for hours now.)

on Qman startup, I've allowed local network in windows firewall. (left public...  unchecked - as I have always done in the past)

anybody any ideas whats going on here ? Thanks !X8nqdlkI4bcPOSH2tOOWybwDbsfUMEhsuP2yGqw7.jpg
