Subject: Poser 13 interface

Hey people, I've been out of touch for a while but I still get emails about poser   updates. Everyone I've received speaks of "upgraded interface" but none have shown a picture of the new changes. Can someone post a screen cap and point out the changes? I haven't upgraded yet buy I'm considering it if there has been real improvement.

I haven't noticed any major changes in the interface. However, you can try it for yourself and see. There's a 21 day free trial.

I guess the question is what version are you coming from? If you're on Poser 7, there was a major change to the interface. Since then, there have been smaller tweaks that help make things go smoother.

As stated above, it depends on the last version you used. Some minor stuff would be the naming of the material room I think it was basic and advanced to Assign and Edit. I never used basic nor do I use Assign. The Addition of Layers is new-ish. And of course the Superfly nodes. There have been some tweaks to UI scale, but that's still a bit hit or miss. You are also greeted with an option to load previous saves, or preferred states on launch, which is rather useful. The current version of Poser 13 has very quick Superfly render times on photoreal renders with Optix settings, even on an old RTX 2070 card. Measure in seconds not minutes, or days with Firefly. I do hope you return Letterworks, your products are fantastic. lMhXeiCVwSgfrbgNWCLt51iXNDVagPd5dfL88W2E.pnguDjSYZMdgMLOJHrAERF6iIMG6oh93jrlhxxsWmUJ.png

Bondware does advertise a new interface. From the Poser 13 page:

"Poser 13 comes packed with a host of new features and improvements that make it easier than ever to create stunning 3D artwork. It boasts a completely redesigned user interface that provides a more intuitive and streamlined workflow, allowing users to focus on their creative process rather than getting bogged down in technical details."

I'm not sure what they are talking about. Looks the same to me.

@GeneralNutt, Thank you for the compliment! I tried to keep up in 3D occasionally but found myself in too much pain to really concentrate or have much creativity, so it's been mostly practice and tutorials. Recently I had surgery that has greatly reduced the pain, so my interest has been returning. Seems I have some catching up to do with some new figures and possibly new features in Poser. I kept up until the final update to P13 although toward the later versions I didn't, really experiment too much. Hopefully I can get back into it a bit more, I just need to catch up.
