M3 has a suit that can have wide lapels, big sharp shoulders, a loose torso, and be double-breasted. I've converted this to other males, but the lapels and front sides bleed into each other. There are some double-breasted suits, but they're not the right style. See image below for the one I mean.

L'Homme, Dusk, or M4 would be good. 

Thanks, midinick, but I have Mafioso. It's not the same style. I could try and work it (add/replace buttons, iron out the wrinkles), but the shoulder seams are funny. And the lapels are curled and not the right look. And it's missing pockets. But this is probably the closest (after M3's) that's out there for Poser characters.

ah ok I see what you mean. Hm ... maybe a DAZ item with dforce? Male clothing is really rare in Poser :(

Thanks. Yeah, I'll probably have to go that route. This suit is closest (I guess I could sharpen the lapels). But I can't use my handy dandy Crossdresser to convert the suit. I'd have to export each piece as an object and use the setup room to rig it. It might come out great...or it might not. I might give M3's suit another chance, but instead of using Crossdresser, I'll try the setup room this time. M3's is boxier and has more of the 40's/50's look.

I know this isn't quite the item your looking for (I like the older styles as well and always looking), but this is new, loads well to a Gen8x figure anyway if you go one item at a time,use the Gen9 Figure when the requestor comes up, and N.A. for item type.

Thanks, DocPhoton. Very nice, but not what I want. Plus, it's not Poser, although if it were what I wanted, I might try to make it work for M4 or L'Homme or Dusk.

Midinick, I tried once again with M3's jacket for M4. Got all the troublesome poke-throughs of other lapels and bad normals fixed (mostly). Some fixes are still needed on the lapels. Looks like he's wearing his father's jacket instead of his own, though. Needs more work along his sides but still needs to look boxy. Patterns went screwy, so I used the grouping tool to create perspective UVs. Not all patterns work, as you can see from the lapels in the worsted gray jacket. I'm not a modeler. I like to create stories. I just wish there was a film noir modeler out there, hehe.

looks good.. hm.. what if you make the suit dynamic? Maybe you can add a prop to his shoulders and let collide at the jacket too? (for having this fluffy shoulders)

Thanks, midinick, but it's not the right look. It's not double-breasted.  Like you suggest, I can make the shoulders wide and sharp, but the rest of it is not right. 

Oh, hm.. maybe I have some problems with translation. Do you mean the buttons? Because with grouping tool you could make a prop from an existing button on the suits and just put it into the right place. ...

... and while I am typing my brain was telling me, maybe you don't want the jacket open, you need it closed.. or?

I am sorry, but I will remember you whenever I see a suit.. and I tell it here :D :D ... Really sad that the Poser males have not that much clothing unless you will put them into nice dresses or bikinis XD lol

Thanks, but the front of the jacket needs to extend across the abdomen to allow for being double-breasted. I've tried stretching existing jackets, but the lapels get messed up. It needs to be made properly by a modeler, not me messing up a figure. Someday someone will make a film noir version for M4 or L'Homme or Dusk. I don't need it. I just want it for when I write my film noir detective story someday. (Sorry, but I'm from the states, and our faulty education system is as bad as our medical insurance system, so I don't know any language but English---well, except for Ein, Zwei, Drei.) :)

What if you ask Tipol? She is very good in making clothing.. I would buy this jacket too.. because its really cool and as we know our runtime-men are freezing and maybe some of them want to be a bad guy ;) .. or a detective ... my guys want to be bad guys between all my fairies and creatures and plushies XD
