Subject: Installing Poser 14 on Wndows 7?

Hello,

I've had Poser since version 3 so today I added  14.  It downloaded fine but it won't install.  I get: 'The procedure entry point GET CURRENT THREAD STACK LIMITS could not be located in the dynamic link library  KERNEL 32 .dll'


Is this because I'm in windows 7? Poser 13 has worked fine in 7 and I'd hoped 14 would too. I've  a windows 11 computer but I tend to keep it for special occasions!

The product description lists this requirement:

Windows 10 or later (64-bit OS required)

I'm afraid you will to have to use your Windows 11 computer for Poser 14.

Yes thanks, Moatmai but I believe it said the same for Poser13 so I thought  I might get away with it!  It has installed OK on windows 11. But I'm not keen on 11, always nagging!

Support ended for Windows 7 in 2020, more than 6 years ago, and that was already 8 years after the release of Windows 8. There are lots of components that software will use that simply aren't present.

ChromeStar,  I know but windows 7 was an excellent version. It did (and does) what  I needed it to do without fuss and, I know its silly, but to abandon it feels like deserting an old friend!  I had a similar struggle moving from win xp to 7! I'm just a sentimental old fool, (80 in a week or so)  and I thank the car  when I get back from a drive!  Cheers!
