If reinstall Vicky 1, do I need to install the upgrade for V1 too before I install Vicky 2?!?... I'm getting a new puter soon and I would like to know if the Vicky 1 upgrade is even needed for Vicky 2.... I know it fixed a number of things on version 1 (including the finger fix), but I'm not sure if these improvements have been added to V2.... I probably won't ever use Vicky 1 again, but will be using Vicky 2 alot, so I'm wonderin'... =)

Good question. I think I need to reinstall my Victoria as well (haven't bought V2 YET - need to get PSP7 first...). (Just sounding off so I can see the answer when it's posted mostly...) :-)

The Vicky2 upgrade does not include an .obj file (for the Vicky shape, it does have an obj for the P4 shaped version). It requires the obj file installed from Vicky 1 in order to work.

Oh...i think those were just cr2 fixes...as you have a new cr2 with Vicky2 I don't think you need them. Not 100% sure tho.

Thanks J, I wanted to know if I could get shed of all those updates for Vicky 1 that I have and retire her so I can get to the business of using Vicky 2, but if I need the fixes (shoulder and fingers for V1) I'll keep them....I don't know if these fixes are in Vicky 2 yet... =(

I'm pretty sure the V1 update was a geometry change, so you'd have to apply the fixes for the obj file to be correct. You can delete the V1 cr2's anyway after installing. I'ts probably just as easy to do the fixes to be sure.

Yeah that's what I was gonna do, apply the fixes after I reinstalled Vicky 1 then install Vicky 2 .. But I was hopin' I wouldn't have to, damn it... lol I've got my orignal Vicky 1 on one CD, the fixes on another CD and Vicky 2 on still another!!!.... grrrr.. I had really considered buying the full Vicky instead of the upgrade because of this, but then that leaves the question do, the people who bought the full version need to download the updates for Vicky 1 too?!.. Ok, I'm just opening up another can of worms... I got what I need so I guess I'll just install, install and reinstall till I'm totally silly.... =)

All you need from V1 is the geometry. The V2 upgrade CR2 is complete in itself. Even the Janurary V1 update did not fix the fingers. V2 fixes fingers, shoulder, eyes point at, and a couple of other adjustments to the shoulders and something else. You can dump your old V1 CR2 files as long as they do not store any morphs that are not V1 morphs. If you do have morphs, just transfer (copy-MM4) from V1 to V2 and then delete the V1 CR2. The Geometry for Victoria is unchanged since her initial release.

You may want to keep the V1 CR2 incase you want to sell/give a character since you cannot re-distribute the Vicky 2 CR2 file.

I would had kicked myself from here to Uranus.. =) jnmoore that's a good thought for those who do re-distribute Vicky characters but since I don't, I'll probably delete the old Vicky Cr2's... Man, that will take a few bytes off my hard drive.. hehe Charlie we got our answer now... =)
