I have converted the model into Lightwave. And created a firing or empty version. If you wish I can convert it back to the obj and you can have two versions of your glock. Nice work by the way. Here is the firing version rendered and tweaked in Lightwave.

I have to get GPS to give permission first. It is his model. I would rather send him the object and let him distribute it.

Hi pnevai Great minds think alike ;) I already have plans to re-work the original so that I can apply morph targets to operate the trigger, move the magazine in and out and work the slide and slide-catch lever. This could take a while though - actually it could take a long while, so in the meantime, if you'd like to post your modification as an .obj file that's okay by me. I'd prefer it if you distributed it yourself though, as I'd rather have just the one version originating from me (the morphing version will replace the current one). Just give me a mention in the readme file. BTW, you said that you did the conversion in Lightwave? I just had a look at the Lightwave freestuff and they have eight objects there. Yep, eight, so if you want to you could post the open breech and original versions there and you'd single-handedly increase the number of models by 25%! Once again, just give me a name-check in the readme file. gps

I really did this for a project I am working on. I figured that if you wanted it, I could send you the modified mesh. Or.... drats. Since I have the origional and the modified version. They hace the same geometry I in one motion can create a morph rather easily in lightwave. I just open both the oigional and the modified object in LW and define the modified version as the morph target with 2 mouse clicks. While this creates an animatable lightwave object very simply. I have no Idea how you would convert the object morph target into a OBJ. let alone a poser object. The open breech is an illusion, what I did was take your mesh and add a bunch of additional surfaces to the mesh. THe grips, the safety's the breech lock, clip and other pieces now have their own surfaces. This way I could still make use of your excellent UV maps while being able to tweak the components with additional textures and surfaces that are the backbone or Lightwave.The open breech is a transparency surface I added to you mesh. It allows me to keep the poly counts identical between the origional and the modified version. I will put up the objects in the LWO format in Lightwave free stuff. I will keep your name and I will be the footnote. This is your baby and you did all of the hard stuff. I just took a great piece and snazzed it up a little. I would prefer that for other uses or versions, that you be the source. I would rather send the mesh back over to you and you can distribute it or modify it for what ever purpose you see fit. Here is the porject I am using your glock for. This is very early in the project. I am using the still from the movie as a guide in getting the shading, lighting and testuring of the model right. It still has a way to go, The hair definitly needs to be redone. But it is getting there.

Hi pnevai I was shying away from having you send me a new .obj file because I had a feeling it would need remapping. Now that you've described how you did it, I'm almost certain it would, so I think I'll press on with my own morphing version. Good work on the Trinity figure. The skin texture is particularly impressive - the tonal values are virtually identical to the photo. BTW, I don't know if you're planning to do a Neo figure, but if you are there's a nice duster-style coat available free at Ghastley's site. Link attached. He even describes it as being inspired by The Matrix gps
