Subject: Question about Metastream.

I looked through the metastream 2 and 3 lisence and could see nothing about redistribution. I have also noticed there are a few websites out on the net that offer the viewer as a direct download from there webpage. Is Metastream 2 and 3 free to redistribute? Thanks. Deimos.

Hi Deimos, Metastream is now viewpoint..... look at www.viewpoint.com T:-)M

MTS 3 and now VET formats are licenced at the server. The viewer is freely distributable (they'd like it to be built-in to every browser!) and it checks for a valid licence key in the content before it shows it, by a lookup at Viewpoint, I think. If the content comes off your own machine, it's always allowed, so you can develop without a broadcast key. Non-profits used to get keys for nothing, check with Viewpoint.
