The model is emebedded in the CR2 right? You can extract a model from the cr2 with JWind's Compose Java app it can be found in the FreeStuff under utilities. It requires that you have the Java runtime installed on your machine. Once you have the OBJ remapped save it to a custom folder in the Runtime:Geometries directory of Poser. With that done, the tough part begins - editing the cr2 so that it uses the external geometry while leaving your settings intact (more on this later). You'll need CR2Editor1.51 by John Stallings. It can be found in the Files section of the PoserTECH list. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PoserTECH If you have the Pro pack this could be solved in a matter of minutes. Poser 3 or 4 takes a bit longer. -JeffYou don't have to start over again, but you do need to update the obj file with one that is UV mapped. The mapping will not effect any existing grouping, morphs or joints but any new groups you create will have to have colors or textures applied, of course. Don't forget to delete the rsr when you resave the object.

I have a model of Unit-01 (from the Neon Genesis Evangelion series) that I have built, but I am having trouble applying texture maps to it. What I realized this morning is that I should have taken the OBJ file that I exported from the modeling program, opened it in UVMapper, exported the model and the texture map, imported that into poser, then set about defining the groups, spawning props, setting joints, etc. What I did was to get the model in pretty good shape (posable) from the OBJ file that I had exported from the modeling program figuring that I would work out the texture maps later. What I have found is that it won't take the texture maps. Now I realize that because I did not do all of the work on the OBJ file exported from UVMapper I have made life difficult, but do I need to go back and start all over again if I want to apply texture maps to this model or is there another way? Any suggestions would be appreciated. This is my first model and although the process has taught me a lot (also taught me that there is a lot more to learn) I really don't want to start over again. Thanks in advance for any assistance. -gyusaku
