It's personal firewall software. There's a free and a registered version (Zonealarm Pro). Both available from the above web site. - MarkMark
I don't know what the deal is with what ever I got downloaded onto my computer but it was a pain. Everytime I tried to log onto the net, I got a message, saying that If I could see the message, then Apache had been downloaded and installed into my computer. And I couldn't get rid of the sucker! The message also said that now, who ever sent the Software could now display and download things into and out of that folder. That really got me worried. After spending a day and half trying to track the sucker down, I dumped my hard drive and formated it about a six times just to make sure it was dead. I don't like people putting things onto my computer that I don't have any control over. I wouldn't classify it as a virus, because it didn't really do any harm. It was more of a spy program.... Butch
Common hacker practice I've read is to use available open computers for file storage for warez and porno crap so they don't have to store it on a system that can be tracked back to them. They get a back door open on your computer though somehing you down load with thier code on it.(I don't know how that works but I keep reading they can do that). Then I guess the links on thier web sites for down loading point to your system were they've store the junk. I think thats about how they do it according to what I've understood from web. Yuck!

Someone has developed a rather neat piece of software called Apache. When it is downloaded into your computer, it allows a third party to send anything they want to your computer anytime you are online. And If I read all the info right, (I scanned it, trying to figure out how to get rid of it,)They also can moniter your travels around the web and even download things from your computer. I might be wrong about that part though. The folder that the program creates is hidden, and I couldn't find it at all. I ended up dumping the hard drive to get rid of the blasted thing. I didn't download the thing either! It was piggyed back onto something else that I was downloading. It installs itself automatically and you don't know about till the next time you log onto the web.
