With regard to Alpha's earlier comments on Digi's and their exposure times - this has been a REAL challenge for me with the exposure time being an unknown facter! Coz of the way my shift works I only had 3 nights available to get a picture, and it's gonna work out too tight, so I'm settling for one I took one the 3rd June... No technical details, just pointed and clicked.....

You got this with a digital. camera! Gee mine must really need help. Ok well. I'll do the best i can. I also always have my 35mm. Love the orange glow. OOOOO. That gives me an idea! Thanks. Bsteph

hey JordyArt I think it looks great and as for the digital that is what a lot of us will be working with.

You will find that digital is different in the area of available light because of the linearity of the exposures. Film has unique character at the bottom of the useful range. Often referrred to as "resiprosity failure" I personally like digital for available light.

Very cool, Jordy! I hope I can do as well with my digital. The moon is full or nearly full and it was gorgeous last night. We'll see what happens tonight. :)

Jordy, this is excellent, so different...WOW...can you tell us a bit about this, as in where it is?

Wow - I'm almost blushing with your comments, guys! Thank You! If you check out the 'sailing' picture and look at the original picture of the yacht, you'll just catch a white box with some orange at the left of it. The orange is one of three silos on the riverside for an aluminium works. Those three things over the river in this pic are those silos - this was taken about 100 feet down from where the yacht one was taken and is at Blyth in Northumberland. The quayside there has recently been re-vamped with those old-fashioned Streete Lampes on the left - the reason they're so far back from the water is because I'm on the open wooden jetty for this pic. Taken approx. 11pm

So you hung around the Aluminum smelting plant. Cool. Now you have to sneak in 007 and take some pictures of the aluminum being processed. If you get cought. We have no idea who you are. Especially me! Bsteph

LOL - the plant is actually about 3 miles up the coast and has it's own railway line to take the ore there..... Maybe I could stow away on the train?.....
