I'm not much of a modeler but still tried my luck in the past few days using Rhino. The program is easy enough to create some simple props and they look nice when imported/textured in Poser. One thing that I noticed was the huge filesize - at first I simply imported my new bracelet (Helix type spiral) into poser and the Prop size was about 700k. No biggie but still on the larger side. So I went back to Rhino and saved the obj with fewer polygones - that gave me another 100k ... reducing the density of the mesh some more resulted in nasty edges. Ok, so I open the file and start changing the material name, copy some stuff from a previous version (color, material etc) and suddenly my filesize is over 1.6MB ! Yikes. I know what a pain it this can be if you're on the receiving end. So the question is : Can I manipulate the Prop file (my obj defs are in there, not externally stored) to reduce the size ? I believe to remember a Tutorial referring to the topic but can no longer find it. Another issues (that has been addressed before but again, I cannot find the reference) is the fact that the Preview appears in white, only my own Prop has the correct colors. Any suggestions welcome, Thanks. Pras.
