Your .obj file must be located in any Runtime->Geometries sub folder. And the top line of your .phi file must have that exact path(spelling and caps must match also) to where the file is located on your Harddrive. ScottA

Yikkes! This thing is over 5meg. I'm afraid I can't handle files that big. Nor can I upload files of that size. I can tell you what the problem is though: Your .obj file does not have any groups. Only materials. It's one single mesh with multiple materials. You can try exporting props again. Or use UVmapper and select each material one by one. And assign a group to them. Then try PHI Builder again. I'm afraid my equipment is way too crappy to handle a file this big. ScottA

thats weird is there a reson why when i spawned the props it dint work i selcted and named each group and used the add all button is that right?

ScottA ( ) posted Sun, 24 June 2001 at 6:16 PM

I don't use the Group tool much. But I think if you use the "add all" button. It will group everything as one mesh. You should create your groups. Then export the mesh as an .obj file from Poser. Don't even bother giving it any materials at this point. Use UVmapper to do that later on. **Remember, you can use UVmapper to create groups as well as Poser. I noticed other problems as well: 1.) the mesh is not scaled to fit in the Poser scene properly 2.)the mesh is 180 rotated and faces the back of the Poser scene 3.) Your .phi file had this in the top line : objFile :Runtime:Geometries:Fathom It should read: objFile :Runtime:Geometries:Fathom:Fathom.obj ScottA
