Because the geometry of the model, if it is one that came with the Poser Program, or is owned by Daz3d, belongs to them. Now if it is one created by an individual, and is not a modified version of one of those owned by Curiouslabs, Daz, etc... then it is up to the individual owner of the model. Make no mistake though, to export out to other programs the models that came with Poser, or those that you buy from Daz, modified or not, is in fact stealing, unless the persons using the export also owns the originally licensed versions.
From the Readme that comes with the Silver Surfer: "The Silver Surfer may be used in noncomercial productions only and may not be redistributed without consent from me. xxxxxxx@hotmail.com" From the Silver Surfer.CR2: "figureResFile :Runtime:Geometries:P4NudeMan:blNudeMan_Gen.obj" The Silver Surfer is NOT a model. It is a texture map applied the the geometery of the P4 Nude Man owned by Curious Labs/DAZ3D. If you export and send to anyone, you are in violation of the Copyright Laws. And continuing this discussion here is a violation of the Terms of Service for this site.
dariop, disibuting 3d meshes derived from Poser figures is against the license agreement and illegal. I do understand the download was available as a free item, but it's only useable to persons owning Poser. By exporting the figure as a mesh and distributing it to anyone else is breaking the law. I know it sucks, but thats the way it is. Please refrain from asking like questions here because not only will it get you scorned by other members, it will also get you banned from returning to this site. Ken

Hi, can someone help me out here. I have a model in P4 poser format that I want to use in Bryce, trouble is I don't have Poser. Is there any way of converting the model from P4 to another 3D format that Bryce can import ? Any help or suggestions much appreciated. Dario from London ( UK )
