Subject: the site's color scheme

I love rendo guys but this pale olive drab look with tan type is aweful:-/ The new logo is very cool, but I thought my monitor was going out when I hit the site and POW!! the new color, I would suggest a dark blue or back to green if you're gonna use tan for the font color. It would also still coincide with the new logo, I think I would use a nice blue with the tan type.

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Thanks for the input. If you don't like the new color scheme, feel free to choose your own on your Profile page. Look for the "My Profile" link on the sidebar. The current defaults may undergo a bit of tweaking, but if you choose your own colors, the defaults will not overwrite your choices.

However, there doesn't seem to be an option to change the IM message box colors and thats hard to read. The background is a little to light with the white type. Thanks.

Not that I have any opinion that means more than someone else's (unless 20+ years in the illustration and graphic design business means anything) but I happen to like the new color scheme a lot. The slate blue-grey is easy on the eyes and dignified.... very cool. My curiosity is the logos... having had a contest, you now have one logo in your masthead and another in the marketplace sidebar. Most organizations have just one logo that nails their identity and becomes recognized as an instant brand for their outfit. I think both logos are neat, but the marketplace piece more resembles an illustration than a logo... (meaning it is pretty complex with many elements). This is not knocking the quality of the art (good stuff) just matching art to its intended use. For example, Coca Cola has a universally recognized (and simple) logo to brand their product, but they also produced some amazing illustrations - particularly in the 40's and 50's - those "Santa drinking Coke ads".... point being that a logo and an illustration are two different animals to serve different purposes, usually. Just 2 cents worth of whatever. This is an awesome site, and getting more so.

I find that this new colour scheme is more relaxing to my eyes as I no longer have to squint or highlite text in order to find out what is there. Definately an improvement and the new logo(s), which at this time I have not seen the other, Looks great and the quality is great. I had taken the survey and this was the main point of the changes I had suggested, I guess I was one of many. Thanks for relaxing my tired eyes. As I am sure this may be close to the final product, but whatever changes are made to it will be minor, I am sure, so here's to your growth and development. I am sure the end product will be quite well done and reflect the quality and commitment of the company. Regards Troll
